42nd World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress: An Open Platform for Pistachio Industry Discussion
The 42nd World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress was held from May 8-10, 2025, at the Mallorca Island Convention Centre in Spain. The congress attracted more than 1,500 professional attendees from 60 nations, making it the perfect venue for discussing the latest news in the industry, emerging markets, presenting new research findings, and discussing future opportunities and challenges.
Over the course of three days, the most recent data and statistics regarding nut and dried fruit production and trade were reported in the form of professional panel sessions. Moreover, a special area for a business opportunities exhibition facilitated the opportunity for companies to present their goods and services to attendees.
The pistachio panel was scheduled in the afternoon of the first day and was chaired by Mia Cohen from Setton Pistachio Company. Behrooz Agah of the board of Iran Pistachio Association represented Iran, while Mike Homan of Wonderful Pistachios represented America. Ozan Yesilır of Turkey, Helena Solana of Spain, and Wilson Men of China were some of the other panelists.
The panel offered fresh statistics and charts on world pistachio production and trade, projections on future production trends, supply and demand summaries, the situation in world markets today, and projections of consumption trends, all of which were introduced and discussed among the panelists. At last, there was a Q&A session that provided a chance for the participants to engage with the speakers.
To remain informed of the key discussions, we have assigned a series of upcoming posts to this panel. Tune in with Hiva Nuts and don’t miss out on the facts!
