Pistachio Ice cream

Don’t let this cold weather stop you from eating Iranian pistachio ice cream.

The entire cup has only 240 calories and 20 grams of protein.

INGREDIENTS

  • One cup non-dairy milk
  • One avocado
  • 1 cup roasted, unshelled Iran’s pistachios
  • 6 Medjool dates or 1cup Maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup almond extract
  • 1 spoon spirulina

Mix everything and put in the freezer overnight.

The question is, why avocado?

Avocados are packed with many nutrients that your body needs. Avocados have more potassium than bananas, which is essential for muscle growth and organ function. About 30 grams of avocado can provide 8 percent of your daily requirement of vitamin K, which helps blood clot. It also contains vitamins C, E, and antioxidants that boost the immune system. Finally, we add some spirulina, which helps with weight loss, cancer prevention, cholesterol reduction, and fighting fatigue or aging.
